Meet Kate Johnson! Kate rowed in our program when she was in high school. She was the #1 college recruit in the country and attended the University of Michigan. Kate represented the USA as a junior, U23 and senior athlete. She won a senior World Championships and earned a silver medal in the women’s eight at the Athens Olympics in 2004.

Kate has worked tirelessly to promote women’s sports her whole career. She recently presented a TED talk on the future of women’s athletics, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4_trBh25Vk
